Experience
Training and Education
Lexi began her dance training at a ballet studio in Everett, WA where she fell in love with dance. When she decided it was time to explore more styles, she moved to Pacific West Performing Arts and began dancing competitively. During this time, she also trained with a Hip Hop group that performed throughout the PNW, providing her countless opportunities to grow as a performer in a semi-professional setting.
At 14, Lexi decided it was time to take her training to the next step, leaving the competitive dance world to train more and expand her performance opportunities. She trained at Westlake Dance Center under some of the best instructors and choreographers in the PNW, and studied ballet at Cornish College of the Arts in their Preparatory Program.
Her love for theatre began at nine years old when she took part in her first musical with Village Theatre Kidstage, with her first professional role following a few years later on Seattle Children's Theater's main stage. She continued to train in voice and acting, under the Seattle Children's Theatre, Village Theatre, and through private coaching.
After graduating high school, Lexi attended the University of Washington where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and Dance with a focus in education. In her time at the UW, she developed a deeper understanding of teaching methodologies, anatomy, kinesiology, and cross-cultural communication.
Her time at the UW confirmed her passion for education, after graduating she shifted her focus from working as a performer, to being a choreographer and educator where she can share her knowledge and passion for dance with the next generation of artists.
